How Hantec Works
Current Methods
Current handling methods, which mostly use timber, are environmentally unfriendly
as well as inefficient
and expensive. Shipments require fumigation, cleaning and waste disposal as
well as additional paperwork and inspections.
Work place injuries and inventory
damage is commonplace.
On delivery, storing inventory efficiently and safely
is very difficult. After arrival there are costly man hours and removal costs
to dispose of the packing. Repacking inventory and shipping to clients is also
expensive and cumbersome.
The Hantec Solution
The Hantec solution supersedes traditional handling methods.
Hantec is made
of sturdy steel, making it re-usable many times during its life-span.
Hantec requires no fumigation, additional paperwork or inspections during
shipping. It is more efficient and easier
to use, with no waste, and it costs no more to use than timber.
Hantec is tested and rated to handle up to 2.6 tons of product. This tough
modular system can be used with a forklift, sling or crane. It can be re-used
for all
loading,
unloading and storage, through all stages of product movement.
Due to Hantec's incredible design you will no longer
need to move unpacked glass to an a-frame. Simply leave it stacked in the
Hantec module when it arrives. This system allows you to easily move it around
within your premises as well as to customers.
Unlike a-frames, glass can even be stacked up to three levels high using the
Hantec solution, allowing a 200% increase
in
storage
capacity.
Hantec is easy to use from the float line to the glazier as each piece of
glass is accessible and easy to remove from the hantec modules. No specialised
trucks are needed and Hantec allows for partial deliveries and requires no
load space on return journeys.
A 2.6 ton block of glass can now be packaged or unpacked in under 5 minutes
with Hantec. That is
75% quicker than current systems. The time taken to load or unload a 20 foot
container can be halved or even cut by more than two thirds.
Workplace injuries and inventory damage will be reduced using Hantec during
loading and unloading. Currently this is the greatest point of exposure to
loss with traditional timber systems.
Even after years of use, Hantec is 100% recyclable. The world's hunger for
timber will be reduced and the question of how to dispose of it will be a thing
of the past. You can even return the Hantec modules to be re-used on future
shipments. |
